We were happy to join the network in order to become an active and constructive member. We wanted to contribute our share in the field of advocacy and content contributions from the aspects of safe and responsible use of the Internet and the impact of digitalization on public health.
The aim of the content network of non-governmental organizations for an inclusive information society (NGO-VID) is to empower people in the digital society.
It is based on the vision of the network as a sustainable meeting place for non-governmental organizations in various fields of digitalization, which together strive for a quality life in the information society.
The network's key activities include the digitalisation of NGOs (education, ICT equipment, e-services, support), advocacy (information society policies, societal challenges of digital technologies, strengthening the NGO sector as a stakeholder in digitalisation) and cross-sectoral cooperation (NGO involvement in the external environment, partnerships, tenders and the Slovenian Digital Coalition).
The main annual event of the "Inclusive Information Society Day" network (VID Day) takes place on 17 May on the occasion of the International Information Society Day and is intended for the current social challenges of digitalisation.
